WAITING HOSTEL
Since
November 2001 a waiting hostel of 36 beds is available in the
vicinity of the hospital. Pregnant mothers from the district can stay
there free of charge to wait for delivery during the last few weeks
of their pregnancy. First line health units can refer mothers to
waiting room as well as the hospital antenatal clinic. Waiting room
is part of antenatal care and final responsible is the Nursing
officer in charge of RCH. The waiting home gets clients sent by the
first line health units but others come on own initiative.
The
waiting room and its staff quarters were beautifully renovated in
2015. There is a registered nurse who lives in the attached staff
house
